How to Save Web Pages as PDFs in Mozilla Firefox

Sometimes, you might want to pick up a copy of a local web page when using Firefox. Luckily, there is a practical way to save them by printing pages directly to PDF files on Windows 10 and Mac. Here’s how to do it.

How to Save Web Pages as PDFs on Windows 10

First, open Firefox and navigate to the page you want to save. Click the hamburger menu in the upper-right corner of the window. (The hamburger menu looks like three horizontal lines.) In the menu that appears, select “Print.”

On the print preview page that appears, click the “Print” button in the upper left corner. The Print dialog will open. In the “Select Printer” area, select “Microsoft Print To PDF.” Then click “Print.”

A new window titled “Save Print Output As” will appear. Select the location where you want to save the PDF, type the file name, and click “Save.”

The PDF file will be saved to the location you selected. When you want to read it later, just search for it in Explorer and open it.

This same technique also works with other Windows 10 applications. If you want to easily save a document as a PDF file, just select “Microsoft Print To PDF” as your printer, choose a storage location, and then set it.

How to Save Web Pages as PDF on Mac

If you use Firefox on a Mac, navigate to the page as you want to save it as a PDF file. Once there, click the hamburger icon (three horizontal lines) in the upper right corner and select “Print” in the menu that appears.

When the Print dialog appears, look for a small drop-down menu titled “PDF” in the lower left corner. Click on it and select “Save As PDF” from the list of options.

In the save dialog that appears, type the file name for PDF, choose where you want to save it, then select “Save.”

PDFs of web pages will be saved in the location you selected. One of the coolest things about Mac is that you can save documents as PDFs from any application that supports printing. Look for the “Save As PDF” menu in the Print dialog, choose a location, and you’re done.
