Audible is one of the popular audio book platforms. For applications that are so popular, the Audible interface is very confusing and basic. When I installed and launched it to check the service, I found it lacked some important features, especially for iOS users. That is why so many users, like me, cannot find or see a wishlist on the Audible application.
Wishlist is a cool feature that you will also find on the Amazon eCommerce site. This is a useful feature that can help you buffer books that you might want to read in the future. Let’s understand where Audible’s wishlist is, how it functions, and what else you can or can’t do with it.
Where Is My Wishlist Wishlist
Android users need to open the Audible application and tap the three-point menu icon on the left to select the Store button.
That will reveal further options, and Wishlist is one of them. Tap to see wish list.
Sounding Wishlist is not available on iOS, and there is no dedicated desktop application. Many users have complained about it but it hasn’t been lucky. Maybe in a future update. I don’t like the iOS app at all. I entered using the same Amazon ID as on Android, and for some reason, Audible treated it as a new ID, asking me to subscribe. I didn’t subscribe twice.
Speaking of browsers, you can easily access the Wishlist right above in the header area. Easy to find and access.
How Many Wishlist You Can Make
You cannot create more than one wishlist on Audible. All you have to do to create a wishlist is to add a book, any book, to the wishlist (more about that in the next section). Amazon allows users to create multiple wishlists on the eCommerce platform but not on Audible. That’s weird. Most users don’t need two lists to manage audio books unless you share your Audible account with someone. In that case, it becomes necessary. Amazon needs to pay attention to this feature, right?
How to Add a Title to a Wishlist
Adding titles to the wishlist works the same way in web and mobile applications. Let’s take the browser first. Tap on the title to open and select the Add to Wishlist button. You will find it right under the purchase option.
You will see a blue button that says In Wish List if the book has been added to the list. Selecting that will not delete the title from the list as I expected. Instead, I was taken to the Wish List menu. Once again, a strange UI choice.
The same steps will apply to the Android and iOS applications. Open the book’s title and tap on the Add to Wish Button and you’re done. Interesting that there is an option to add to the wishlist on iOS but there is no way to access the list later.
How to Remove a Title from a Wishlist
Open the wishlist on your Android to find a list of all the titles you have added.
Tap the three dot menu icon next to the book you want to delete to open the pop-up menu bar with the Delete button. Tap to delete the book.
The Delete from Wishlist button is easily visible in the browser case. Right next to the book.
How to Share an Audible Wish List
Unfortunately, that is not possible at the moment. You cannot share the Audible wishlist. There is no way to share even a book that I like with someone directly besides sending a message to him by name. He then had to search for a book manually. It would be much easier if I could recommend a book or maybe just share the same link from the application itself. It’s on my wishlist, not Amazon. Additionally, you cannot link your Audible account to Goodreads to share updates about your listening activities and reviews and recommend books to friends.
How to Sort an Audible Wish List
Any books that you add to your wishlist are added by date. So, the book that was added last will appear at the top of the list. You can see the date the book was added right before the Price column in the browser.
Click the Date Added text button to sort the books that were added first or last. There is no other way to sort it like ranking, release date, or other ways.
The mobile app doesn’t even have that option, which means you can’t sort books on the iOS or Android app.
Your wish is my command
Audible wishlist feature is a mess. This works best on Android while the iOS version leaves a lot to be desired. Even the Android version can be done with several improvements such as the ability to share, make lots of lists, and so on. But there is little we can do except Amazon and Audible’s request to improve this feature and wait. Until then, do what you have or use alternatives like Scribd.
