Have you experienced a pause during a Team Meeting? Try turning off the video of all participants
The Microsoft Team offers many customization options, while you participate in Team meetings. Like, you can mute yourself to eliminate background noise, or you can adjust the appearance of the meeting by focusing the video feed on only certain people.
In addition to adding new features, Microsoft is also working to improve existing ones to provide a better user experience. Often, users experience call interruptions, either because of a slow internet connection or when attending large calls, say with 30+ participants. To improve overall call quality, you can turn off videos from all participants in a meeting so that you can communicate with everyone.
How to Turn Off Other People’s Videos at Team Meetings
The Microsoft Team offers a quick way to turn off all participants’ videos in Team meetings with one click.
Open the Microsoft Teams application on your computer and log in to your account.
When you are in the meeting room (either as a host / participant), click on the ‘Three Dots’ icon located at the bottom of the Team meeting screen.
From the list of options displayed on the menu, click the ‘Disable Incoming Video’ option.
After you click that option, the video feed from all participants will be turned off.
Turn off All Participant’s Videos from the Mobile Team apps
If you use the Team mobile app to participate in meetings, you can still turn off video feeds from other participants.
After joining the meeting, tap the ‘Three Dot’ icon located at the bottom of the screen.
Then, tap ‘Deactivate incoming video’ from the list of options displayed on the pop-up menu.
By turning off incoming videos, you can save your cellular data, especially if you participate in Team meetings on the go. You can also use that option, whenever you are in a location with poor network quality.
